Now our potatoes are considerably larger than what you normally find in the grocery store, but this simple recipe will guaranty a perfect baker every time.
This recipe come from Kim who has baked literally thousands of baked potatoes in the last 20 years, I tried it and I must say.... "they are the bomb!"
Start with one or more of our large russet potatoes and thoroughly wash and dry.
Place straight onto baking sheet and into the oven at 450. Do not cover and do not season. Cook for 1 hour and 40 minutes, remove from the oven and now cover or tent the potatoes with foil and put back in, then turn the oven off and leave the potatoes in for an additional 20 minutes. This will soften the skin and steam the inside.
After this you can baste with butter or oil and season if desired and the inside of the potato will be fluffy and perfect!
